ALERT
Due to a manufacturer back-order, the heartworm medication Interceptor® has been discontinued. The manufacturer has begun to release Sentinel® a combination product that has the same ingredient for heartworm protection as Interceptor® with the addition of a flea preventer (growth hormone regulator). Sentinel® may be an appropriate choice to add another layer of protection against fleas in addition to a topical treatment. Crest View Animal Clinic, LLC is also stocking Heartgard® to be used in it place of Interceptor®. Heartgard® is an effective and trusted preventative that we feel will continue to effectively protect our patients from heartworm disease. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
